New project! I’m making a frilly (but not too frilly) scarf using a skein of Patons Lace that I picked up as a birthday present to myself. I’m using the Helix Scarf pattern that’s shown on the cover of Jane Austen Knits. I love how it’s looking so far and I looooove this yarn.

Can I just say how much I love bulky yarn? It knits up quickly, which is totally a plus, but what I love more is how sculptural it is. You can see each individual stitch, and each stitch has its own presence. I love it.
I’m currently working on a lace scarf for my mom (pics to come) and I’m using Cascade Magnum yarn. It’s soft, beautiful, and BIG. Like seriously, the yarn is huge. It really makes the lace pattern stand out and the color is gorgeous (I’m using Garnet).
